The Kingdom Mindset

Re-defining what the path to freedom looks like. (Hint: not stocks)

Today’s Main Points

  • A kingdom mindset is a focus on building generational wealth and influence through buying cash-flowing assets and investing intentional time into building relationships.

  • A kingdom mindset focuses on buying cash-flowing businesses and using the profits to invest in multi-family real estate and private investment funds. It is the fastest and most efficient way to build generational wealth.

  • Daily intentional focus on building meaningful and prosperous relationships is the key to opening doors and becoming an opportunity magnet.

The best way to learn a new way of thinking is through constant examples.

When I first learned about buying businesses, it was from a book called, “Buy Then Build by Walker Deibel”. Link here.

Reading through this book, it felt like I was being smacked across the face with obvious truths. How did I not notice that the wealthiest individuals in the world made a majority of their wealth from business acquisition?

The vast majority of businesses in the US are small businesses and they are mostly run by retiring age Boomers. Those Boomers are looking to sail off into the sunset in their new boat and need to offload the business that they spent the last 20-30 years pouring their blood, sweat and tears into.

The opportunity was so obvious, why hadn’t I noticed it before?

Because I was programmed not to.

Not to take on a conspiratorial tone, but when you realize that everything we are taught in school, college, and by our family and friends, is to aspire to be a good employee, it starts to make sense.

We all hope to get good grades so that we can get into a good college so that we can get a good job with good benefits and have “financial security”.

The problem with this mindset is two-fold.

One, you are only as secure as the decisions being made on your behalf.

Two, all of your efforts and skill are being used to build someone else’s wealth.

Now, there is nothing wrong with working a normal W-2 job for your entire life and being satisfied with your salary and benefits. Everyone has their purpose and their desires and I am not disparaging them.

But I am speaking to the few of us who want to have TRUE security and TRUE freedom and that only comes from ownership.

Of course, with ownership comes risks and responsibility. The buck stops with you. That should bear weight upon your thoughts. You will be responsible for other people’s paychecks and livelihoods. That deserves a respect and seriousness that a typical manager does not have.

Having a kingdom mindset flips the traditional 9-5 rat race mentality of working harder for a new wheel, and replaces it a value mindset.

A value mindset is a thought process that is dedicated to finding the most efficient way to provide the most value to the most people.

Once you start to think this way, you start to see the world around you as a place of endless opportunity.

You realize you don’t need a degree to start making money, and you realize that the most successful people are usually people giving away more value than they are receiving.

This shift is a game-changer.

Building meaningful relationships is an easy formula. Give more than you take.

Once you begin, the value grows exponentially until you will be less than a few connections away from any opportunity that you want to pursue.

Now back to the implementation of the kingdom mindset.

Buying an existing business that is profitable and cash-flowing a substantial profit is the first step in building generational wealth.

Once you have acquired a cash-flowing business, you will take the profits and invest in more cash-flowing businesses (see a pattern). Do this until you have gained enough monthly cash-flow to have obtained financial freedom and there is enough left over to invest.

Take the remaining profit and invest in other cash producing assets like multi-family real-estate and private funds.

Rinse and repeat.

If you follow this strategy, I guarantee you that you will build generational wealth in the same amount of time as your buddy who graduated with a 4-year degree and is $85,000 in debt to Uncle Sam.

Kingdom mindset is the focus on building a multi-faceted cash-flowing machine instead of relying on your 401k to constantly go up in value. Take control of your life and your financial future.
